Unitex is seeking a full-time, hands-on Assistant Maintenance Manager in Lawrence, MA to lead a team of industrial mechanics and porters in our busy laundry plant.

The role is highly visible, with responsibility for personnel, machinery repair, and preventive maintenance; 30-minute commuting radius applies. The position offers strong growth potential within a classic healthcare support provider.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial plant.
• Experience with 480 volts high voltage systems.
• Minimum 5 years repairing industrial processing equipment.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
• Must reside within ~30 minutes of Lawrence, MA.

Responsibilities

• Oversees 20 mechanics and 7 porters/custodians.
• Maintains the preventive maintenance programs.
• Assists the maintenance team in diagnostic troubleshooting.
• Monitors quality of repairs.
• Oversees building and physical plant repair issues.
• Maintains porter schedule to maximize cleaning effectiveness of plant and machinery.
• Adheres to safety programs.
