Job summary

GPAC is partnered with a growing family-owned pet food manufacturer seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance department at their Central IL facility.

You will drive equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, Downtime reduction, CMMS management, and continuous improvement initiatives. A hands-on leader with strong mechanical and electrical experience who collaborates with technicians, operations, and plant leadership will excel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance management or supervision in manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and conveyance systems.
• Experience with CMMS systems.
• Food manufacturing or regulated environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and manage the maintenance team.
• Develop and oversee preventive maintenance programs.
• Manage CMMS work orders, scheduling, and asset tracking.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and conveyance systems.
• Oversee repairs and maintenance of plant equipment and facilities.
• Analyze downtime data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Maintain critical spare parts and inventory.
• Partner with Operations to minimize downtime.
• Support capital and plant improvement projects.
• Manage outside vendors and contractors.
• Ensure maintenance activities meet safety and food safety standards.
• Promote accountability, reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Provide hands-on support to technicians when needed.
