Job summary

OSI Group is seeking an equipment-focused operator for our food manufacturing facility. The role involves setting up equipment, calibrating for time and temperature, and ensuring correct product parameters are recorded accurately.

Responsibilities include monitoring operations, basic troubleshooting, sanitation, and collaborating with maintenance on preventive maintenance. Candidates should read specifications in English and have a High School diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 0–1 years of related experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Able to follow verbal instructions.
• Able to read and follow a designated recipe.
• Basic understanding of units of measure and their applications.
• Able to read, understand and follow written specifications, blueprints, or schematics in English.

Responsibilities

• Set up assigned equipment daily per production schedule and product specs; disassemble for sanitation.
• Monitor equipment operations; troubleshoot basic malfunctions and notify supervision for major issues.
• Record data and adjust as needed.
• Calibrate systems for time, temperature, and positions of equipment.
• Record and interpret temperatures related to the process.
• Use measuring devices and record product parameters.
• Work with maintenance to implement preventive maintenance and best practices.
• Notify management of unusual or out-of-spec operations.
• Maintain a safe, clean production area in compliance with policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
