Job summary

Label Aid, based in Huron, Ohio, is seeking a Label Printing Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations across digital and flexographic printing, finishing, and rewind. The role involves staff assignments, priority setting, on-floor support, and ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Qualified candidates will have hands-on experience in label printing, a background in production supervision, and a strong grasp of print quality, color management, and calibration.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or managing production in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of print production quality standards, color management and calibration.
• Familiarity with press checks, first-piece approvals and in-process inspection.
• Ability to troubleshoot print defects and equipment problems.
• Experience with label materials, substrates, coatings, laminates and converting processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production across digital and flexographic printing, finishing, and rewind.
• Monitor quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.
• Investigate defects, reruns, spoilage and customer complaints to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Monitor waste, setup time, downtime, press speeds and throughput to keep jobs on target.
• Provide hands-on support with presses and finishing equipment, including setup and calibration.
• Ensure maintenance and readiness of presses and equipment; coordinate preventive maintenance.
• Train and develop operators; set clear expectations and accountability.
• Oversee press checks, first-piece approvals, and in-process inspections to ensure artwork accuracy.
