Job summary

Delta Solutions & Strategies seeks an experienced IT Director to lead information technology and cybersecurity for a growing government contracting environment in Colorado Springs. The role balances hands-on leadership with strategic planning, overseeing Microsoft 365 GCC High, Azure Government, IAM, and compliance programs.

The ideal candidate has extensive enterprise IT and cybersecurity experience, strong leadership, and the ability to navigate RMF/eMASS, DCSA, and classified systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, cybersecurity, CS, or related field.
• Progressive experience supporting or managing enterprise IT and cybersecurity environments.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, identity and access management, endpoint management, networking, and cybersecurity technologies.
• Working knowledge of CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, and cybersecurity requirements for federal government contractors.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT and cybersecurity strategy, operations, and technology planning.
• Oversee GCC High Microsoft 365, Azure Government, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and related services.
• Manage IT infrastructure including networks, firewalls, servers, and cloud systems.
• Oversee identity and access management, endpoint security, patching, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity monitoring.
• Lead CMMC Level 2 and NIST SP 800-171 compliance efforts with documentation and assessment support.
• Support RMF, eMASS, DCSA, and related compliance activities for government and classified systems.
• Maintain IT and cybersecurity policies, procedures, inventories, and compliance records.
• Oversee onboarding/offboarding, provisioning, and user support.
• Manage IT vendors, licensing, hardware/software purchases, renewals, and budgeting.
• Assist with cybersecurity incidents, audits, proposals, and other IT/security requests.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve security and user experience.
• Advise leadership on cybersecurity risk and technology investments.
• Provide leadership and escalation support to IT staff and external partners.
