Job summary

UHY-US is seeking an experienced Interim Controller to join a lean accounting team in Marietta, GA. This hands-on role involves owning day-to-day accounting, payroll, invoicing, AP, reconciliations, and GL work, with QuickBooks Desktop as the primary tool.

Starting ASAP for 2-3+ months, with potential extension. The position is full-time with a hybrid schedule (onsite Tue-Thu, remote Mon/Fri) in Marietta, GA, through a W-2 hourly consultant arrangement with UHY RSG.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Controller or senior accounting role.
• Strong QuickBooks Desktop experience.
• Experience with payroll, invoicing, AP, reconciliations, and GL.
• Ability to independently own accounting in a lean environment.
• Hands-on, transactional accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day accounting operations in a lean environment.
• Process payroll and customer invoicing; ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform AP, reconciliations, journal entries, and GL activity.
• Utilize QuickBooks Desktop for transactions.
• Stabilize accounting function after departure of finance resource.
• Support cash-to-accrual accounting and process improvements.
• Collaborate with leadership while managing day-to-day tasks.
