Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer / Project Manager to support and maintain critical infrastructure environments. This hands-on role combines technical work with mid-level project management, not a pure people-management position.

The ideal candidate will manage Windows Server, AD, Linux, AWS, patching, and vulnerability remediation, while coordinating with security, application, and other teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2019 or newer.
• Strong AD administration and architecture experience.
• Working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu.
• Working knowledge of AWS infrastructure and services.
• Experience with enterprise patch management and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience with Ivanti and Rapid7 or similar tools.
• Experience planning, coordinating, executing, and reporting mid-level infrastructure projects.
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and data tracking.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and work hands-on in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server 2019+ environments.
• Manage user access, network interfaces, and server settings.
• Administer Active Directory including GPOs, domain controllers, and trust relationships.
• Support Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu environments.
• Support and maintain AWS infrastructure.
• Manage OS patching with enterprise tools, scheduling, deployment, and validation.
• Conduct vulnerability scanning and remediation with Rapid7 or similar platforms.
• Develop and maintain plans and milestones for mid-level infrastructure projects.
• Create and present Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) and status updates.
• Coordinate with infra, security, app, and other teams to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure, projects, remediation activities, hardware, and software.
• Develop tracking tools in Excel for project trackers.
