Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician in Bartow, FL to maintain, repair, and install equipment, machinery, and facilities under direct supervision. This role supports a variety of technical tasks and contributes to ongoing projects in a manufacturing setting.

You will perform preventive maintenance, inspect and repair mechanical equipment, and follow OSHA safety practices including lock-out/tag-out. Strong reading of schematics and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of maintenance/repair experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must possess a valid state driver's license.
• Ability to use hydraulic/pneumatic equipment, presses, cordless drills, clamps and related tools safely.
• Ability to read basic machine schematics with minimal guidance.
• Willing to learn and work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tasks including scheduled preventative maintenance assigned by a supervisor.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Follow OSHA requirements and safety protocols, including lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Read and understand basic machine schematics and communicate findings.
• Organize parts and materials; lift up to 50 lbs unassisted; work with team members.
• Display a positive team approach and follow directions while supporting management objectives.
