Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College in Sellersburg invites applications for CareerLink Adjunct positions. These are part-time adjunct faculty roles designed to support non-credit training programs in mechanical/electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC programming & automation, welding, and machining.

Adjuncts will deliver classes, assess student performance, maintain records, and adapt instruction to client needs, with a flexible schedule based on training demand and campus or workplace locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required for entry-level tech.
• Associate’s degree (AAS) in Industrial Maintenance or related field is common.
• Deep knowledge in mechanical systems (bearings, gears, drives), electrical systems, motor controls, VFDs, PLCs & automation, hydraulics & pneumatics, blueprint reading, precision measurement, and welding & fabrication.
• Ability to create a learning environment to maintain student success.

Responsibilities

• Deliver non-credit classes as assigned.
• Teach and train classes at workplace and campus locations per company learning objectives.
• Use adult learning techniques in instruction and training.
• Work a flexible schedule based on client training demand.
• Maintain records on student attendance, grades, and other information.
• Develop materials for effective curriculum delivery.
• Initiate and follow through on evaluation processes for training programs.
