Job summary

Tec Centro – Capital Region is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical / Industrial Maintenance Instructor to deliver hands-on training in industrial maintenance, electrical, automation, and skilled trades in Central Pennsylvania.

The role emphasizes classroom, laboratory, demonstration, and hands-on instruction to prepare students for industry careers and emphasizes safety and clear communication. Teaching experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on industry experience in industrial maintenance, electrical, electro-mechanical systems, automation, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment and systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
• Commitment to workplace safety and proper work practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to learners with varying levels of experience.
• Willingness to work in a hands-on training environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, demonstration, and hands-on instruction covering core industrial maintenance and electro-mechanical skills.
• Develop training content and adjust topics based on employer needs and available equipment.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching approaches to different learning styles.
• Turn industry experience into the next generation of skilled workers for Central Pennsylvania.
