Job summary

FORCE America in Fort Dodge, IA, is seeking a hands-on assembler to build and validate hydraulic and pneumatic systems per work orders. You will use hand and power tools, run tests, and ensure parts and quality meet specs.

You’ll update inventory records, assist customers with repairs, and coordinate with material handling and sales to expedite urgent orders. Maintain a safe, clean workspace and be prepared for other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate degree in Fluid Power or Mechatronics strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of fluid power preferred.
• 1–5 years’ experience in assembly or a shop environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize to meet customer timing and quantity goals.
• Customer-first orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assembly of hydraulic and pneumatic systems per work orders using hand and power tools.
• Testing assembled systems to verify quality, quantity, and time requirements.
• Updating inventory records with parts consumed, defective items, and additional needs.
• Customer assistance for needs assessments and repairs.
• Coordinating with material handling, sales, and other partners to expedite orders.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
