Job summary

Peach State Truck Centers is seeking entry-level technicians to learn hands-on in our service center. You will perform preventative maintenance on heavy-duty trucks (Class 5–8) and RVs, diagnose and repair systems with hand and power tools, test drive to verify repairs, and keep work areas organized. Training will include Freightliner certifications.

Prior experience is not required but helpful. You will follow OEM guidelines, complete work orders, and maintain attendance and safety standards

Qualifications

• One year certificate from a fully accredited college or technical school and, Minimum of two years related experience and/or training
• English language & reading skills; ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Writing skills; ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on trucks from class 5 to class 8 per OEM and company guidelines
• Diagnose and repair truck systems using hand and power tools
• Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation
• Maintain shop area, tools, and equipment; follow warranty procedures
• Complete on-line Freightliner Technician Training to become Systems Certified within specified time
