Job summary

Tek Support in Ohio is seeking a Hardware Development Engineer to design, develop, test and troubleshoot electronic hardware for industrial automation and control products. The role targets engineers with 2–5 years (Engineer II) or 5+ years (Engineer III) of experience.

You will design analog/digital/mixed-signal circuits, develop schematics and PCB layouts, perform board bring-up and testing, and collaborate with firmware, software, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of hardware product-development experience.
• Strong electronic circuit design and PCB development experience.
• Experience with Altium and/or Mentor Graphics.
• Hands-on prototype debugging and board bring-up experience; EMC/EMI/ESD testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Design analog, digital, mixed-signal, processor-based, and power circuits.
• Develop and review schematics and PCB designs/layouts.
• Work with Altium and Mentor Graphics.
• Perform prototype board bring-up, debugging, troubleshooting, and hardware verification.
• Conduct hands-on laboratory testing using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.
• Perform EMC/EMI, ESD, emissions, and immunity testing.
• Develop test procedures, verification plans, and technical documentation.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement hardware improvements.
• Collaborate with firmware, software, mechanical, manufacturing, compliance, and quality teams.
