Job summary

River Valley Cooperative in Wilton, IA is seeking a General Laborer to support grain handling, agronomy operations and maintenance. This full-time, day-shift role requires physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

You will assist with loading/unloading, operate equipment, help with fertilizer applications, track inventory, and keep work areas safe and organized. A high school diploma and a valid driver's license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Previous agriculture experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with grain handling operations, including loading and unloading trucks, operating grain elevators, and maintaining grain storage facilities.
• Support agronomy operations by assisting with fertilizer and chemical applications, crop scouting, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform general maintenance tasks, such as repairing equipment, cleaning work areas, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Operate machinery and equipment, such as tractors, forklifts, and other farm implements, following proper procedures and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance.
• Attend cooperative meetings and work to improve personal skills and knowledge.
