Job summary

River Valley Cooperative in Wilton, IA is seeking a Seasonal Operator to support member owners and sustain a local cooperative operation. The role involves operating equipment, handling agricultural chemicals, and loading grain as needed.

You will perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain equipment, and comply with OSHA/DOT safety regulations in varied outdoor conditions. CDL is a plus and basic computer skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in agriculture or a related field preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• CDL or Seasonal CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain all equipment and vehicles.
• Handle and deliver bulk and packaged chemicals.
• May unload and load grain from storage bins and/or transportation.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections.
• Clean and maintain equipment.
• Utilise heavy machinery such as an end loader or skid steer.
• Observe all OSHA, DOT, state, federal safety regulations at all times.
• Follow housekeeping practices to keep facilities neat and clean.

As a Seasonal Operator, you will be responsible for providing quality products and services in the operations that will assist member owners of River Valley Cooperative to be financially successful in their farming operations and provide for a sustainable local cooperative operation to serve member needs.
