Job summary

Sitreps seeks a General Manager to run a small precision manufacturing operation in Tennessee, owning production, purchasing, quality, equipment maintenance, the team, and the P&L. The role is a true operating position with a hands-on, player-coach style.

The GM will lead a team under 20, including a four-person leadership group, staying close to the work and solving problems on the floor. Relocation to Jackson or Bradford may be required.

Qualifications

• Five+ years leading a manufacturing operation with P&L or full cost accountability.
• Hands-on purchasing experience, including sourcing material and negotiating terms.
• Demonstrated project management ability from planning to finish.
• Experience in a small-company environment where leaders do the work.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of under 20 across front office, programming/design, shop floor, and sales/new product development.
• Own throughput: orders flow, capacity planning, and labor allocation.
• Hit monthly shipment targets with one operating plan; remove bottlenecks.
• Manage sales/new product development lead and support quotes and pricing.
• Source raw materials, negotiate pricing and terms; manage vendor lead times.
• Oversee ERP implementation and monthly bookings/reporting.
• Maintain safety, quality systems, and maintenance programs.
