Job summary

TDI Technologies, Inc. seeks an early- to mid-career Mechanical Test & Fluid Systems Engineer to support NSWCPD's HM&E research, testing, and evaluation for submarine systems, with emphasis on fluid systems, flow testing, acoustics, and machinery testing.

You will work with the Fluid Labs Group, develop test procedures, collect data, perform analysis, and document findings while collaborating with government and contractor personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent ABET‑accredited program.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with mechanical testing, fluid systems, acoustics, or related experimental activities.
• Ability to interpret drawings, procedures, and documentation.
• Strong communication and ability to work both independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Test planning, design, and execution for hydraulic, fluid‑flow, acoustic, and machinery testing.
• Develop test procedures, instrumentation plans, and safety procedures.
• Analyze test data, prepare technical reports, and provide recommendations.
• Configure and troubleshoot laboratory test systems and instrumentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and government personnel.
