Job summary

The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) in Carson City, NV is seeking a Fleet Service Worker 3 to perform preventive maintenance, tire service, and other hands-on tasks to keep equipment in safe working condition.

Responsibilities include servicing equipment, maintaining shop cleanliness, assisting with yard clean-up, and supporting movement of equipment. On-site, no remote work; suitability for a team-oriented environment is required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with 3 years of vehicle/equipment repair and preventive maintenance experience.
Or one year of experience as Fleet Service Worker II in Nevada State service.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and tune engines, replace filters, lubricate, and service various vehicle/equipment to manufacturer specifications.
Repair or replace tires and rims, balance and mount tires.
Wash, detail, and cosmetically improve vehicles/equipment; assist mechanics and storekeepers with parts handling and invoicing.
