Job summary

Pegasus is seeking an experienced Controller to lead accounting and financial operations in San Diego. Reporting to the CEO, the Controller will oversee financial reporting, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, cash management, and internal controls, while managing a hands-on finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent preferred.
• 8–15+ years progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with GAAP and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, intercompany, and other schedules.
• Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled and reviewed monthly.
• Maintain chart of accounts and accounting policies/procedures.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting.
