Job summary

Global Connect Technologies is seeking a hands-on Field Test Engineer to perform field testing and validation of agricultural machinery under real-world conditions. The ideal candidate has practical experience operating farm equipment, strong mechanical aptitude, and a passion for testing and troubleshooting agricultural machinery.

The role involves outdoor testing, data collection, and collaboration with engineering teams, farmers, and equipment dealers across field locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.
• Hands-on experience operating agricultural machinery or similar equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools for inspection and troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of powertrain, hydraulics, vehicle electronics, or embedded systems.
• Ability to collect test data, document findings, and prepare technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing, functional validation, and safety evaluations of agricultural equipment.
• Operate tractors, combines, and other agricultural machinery during field trials.
• Set up test equipment, prototypes, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
• Collect and analyze data related to speed, torque, vibration, hydraulic pressure, and sensor outputs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic system issues; document results and support root-cause investigations.
• Maintain and inspect prototype equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, farmers, and equipment dealers during field testing.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain confidentiality of prototype equipment.
