Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a hands-on Facility Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team and ensure facility equipment and systems operate safely and reliably. This on-site role in San Jose, CA involves supervising preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating repairs with a skilled team.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of relevant maintenance experience including supervisory roles, with forklift training and the ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5-7 years of relevant maintenance experience, including supervisory experience.
• Experience in welding, mechanical repair, instrumentation, electrical work, piping, or hydraulics.
• Forklift training.
• Ability to travel <10%.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical maintenance and repairs, pumps.
• Maintain facility equipment and systems, and ensure preventive maintenance is completed on schedule.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and assemble or replace components according to manufacturer requirements.
• Maintain an inventory of spare and critical parts.
• Supervise maintenance employees, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance feedback, and accountability.
• Ensure maintenance work follows health and safety procedures, facility requirements, and applicable compliance standards.
• Operate a forklift when needed and maintain a clean work area.
• Perform other duties based on business needs.
