Job summary

Morningstar Properties in Charlotte, NC is seeking a part-time Maintenance Associate who is reliable, hands-on, and takes pride in maintaining our facilities. You will work independently in an active, non-desk environment and help keep the property safe, clean, and welcoming for customers and team members.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and minor repairs; groundskeeping and janitorial tasks; completing checklists; and

Qualifications

• Past maintenance and/or janitorial experience required.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license in state of employment required for occasional driving.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; climb ladders as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for customers and team members.
• Perform routine maintenance on facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and minor roofing.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists accurately.
• Maintain company truck and perform related upkeep.
• Identify maintenance issues early and perform repairs safely.
• Conduct property walk-throughs and work independently.
• Communicate status and needs with Property Manager.
