Job summary

Planned Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems at a site in Arlington, VA.

The role requires 3+ years of relevant experience, strong technical skills across plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, and reliability to handle emergency situations. Bilingual ability is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Requires strong plumbing, electric and carpentry experience.
• Bilingual is preferred; solid interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring preventative maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and repair as required; contact outside contractor when needed.
• Checking boiler and hot water heaters for leaks and reporting changes to management.
• Scheduling extermination procedures as necessary.
• Maintaining social areas or amenities as needed.
• Assuring walkways are clear and/or salted during inclement weather.
• Inventorying mechanical/maintenance supplies.
• Troubleshooting tripped breakers, leaking pipes, and water intrusion.
• Executing general repairs to the building (doors, fixtures, light carpentry, etc.).
• Maintaining logs and inspections of operating equipment (chillers, pumps, towers).
• Inspecting rooftop exhaust fans and cooling towers.
• Replacing light fixtures and electrical components as required.
• Assisting building management with projects and other duties.
