Job summary

Adams and Associates seeks a dependable Substitute On-Call Facilities Maintenance Instructor to share hands-on facilities maintenance knowledge and help students develop career skills. The role supports employment, higher education, or advanced training and offers an on-call schedule with a daily pay rate of $160.

You will deliver industry-focused instruction, maintain a safe training environment, and mentor students toward successful program completion and job placement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year teaching or related experience.
• Licensed or accredited in the state where the center is located.
• For NTC, certification by union or trade organization required.
• Previous Job Corps experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and insurability as required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging, industry-focused instruction and hands-on training in facilities maintenance that prepares students for employment, higher education, advanced training, and industry-recognized certifications.
• Deliver quality career technical training that supports student progress, successful completion of the program, and career placement.
• Provide individualized guidance and support to help students stay on track and achieve their career goals.
• Maintain a classroom and training environment that is safe, organized, welcoming, and conducive to learning.
• Teach and reinforce workplace behaviors, safety practices, professional standards, and the Center's dress and conduct expectations.
• Mentor, monitor, and model Career Success Standards outlined by PRH.
• Help students develop practical skills, confidence, and professionalism needed to succeed in facilities maintenance.
• Support students with career preparation, including identifying job leads and placement outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential student records and protect data integrity.
• Promote accountability, respect, and positive behavior across the Center.
• Collaborate with staff across departments to ensure consistent, high-quality services.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, verbally and in writing.
