Job summary

LGH is seeking a mechanically inclined maintenance technician to keep our hoisting and rigging rental equipment in peak condition in Savage, MD. You will inspect, disassemble, repair, reassemble and test electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic gear to meet safety and quality standards.

A valid driver's license and ability to pass a DOT check are required. The role involves operating a forklift, loading and unloading, and delivering equipment, with Monday–Friday hours and occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical background or aptitude strongly preferred—automotive mechanic/machine shop/heavy equipment operator/diesel mechanic/engine repair experience.
• Hand and power tool experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rental equipment orders and conduct inspections to ensure quality standards.
• Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble and test electrical, hand operated, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on rental equipment.
• Operate forklift to load and unload delivery vehicles and move equipment within the warehouse.
• Drive company vehicles to transport rental orders in a safe, timely manner.
