Job summary

NetBox Labs is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a squad building NetBox, add-ons, SDKs, and the observability suite. You will review code, shape architecture, and ship features while mentoring engineers in a remote, async-first environment.

You’ll drive sprint planning, unblock blockers, and ensure secure, high-quality software across open-source and commercial products. You'll partner with product managers to deliver customer- and community-focused outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager or Team Lead.

Responsibilities

• Lead a squad of engineers day-to-day while staying hands-on: reviewing code, jumping into design discussions, and occasionally shipping code yourself to unblock the team or model best practices.
• Drive execution relentlessly — break down ambiguous problems into clear plans, set sprint goals, remove blockers fast, and hold the team accountable to deadlines.
• Own the software development lifecycle for your team's projects, from planning and design through implementation, testing, and release.
