Talis Group, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Manager of Technical Operations to oversee Engineering, Maintenance, and Facilities for a growing metal fabrication operation in Louisville, KY.

You will build and lead teams, guide capital projects, and drive preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and safety on the shop floor. This role offers daily visibility, a strong culture, and opportunities to scale the department.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical field required; Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in metal fabrication or industrial manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, CNC equipment, automation, maintenance, and facilities.
• Proven success leading capital projects and equipment improvements.
• Hands‑on leadership style with the ability and desire to spend significant time on the shop floor.

Aufgaben

• Lead, coach, and develop the Engineering and Maintenance teams, building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Lead capital projects including equipment selection, installation, commissioning, and facility improvements.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Drive manufacturing engineering initiatives involving process improvements, tooling, fixtures, automation, and equipment.
• Partner with Production and Operations to solve technical challenges and improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
• Develop long‑term equipment, facility, and asset management strategies to support company growth.
• Manage contractors, vendors, and technical service providers.
• Develop a strong MRO process to ensure the shop has the parts, tooling, and supplies needed to operate efficiently.
• Identify, develop, and grow technical talent while building the capabilities needed for the company's future.
