Job summary

Red E, LLC is seeking an Engineering Intern to support the engineering team with product design, testing, prototyping, and documentation. The role provides hands-on experience across the product development process and exposure to manufacturing and quality practices.

You will work alongside engineers and other departments to drive product improvements, gain insight into supplier and rebuild workflows, and contribute to projects that help farmers use equipment more effectively.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Foundational knowledge of mechanical design and engineering principles from coursework or experience.
• Experience with CAD software through coursework, projects, or prior work preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to take initiative, ask questions, and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and development of products, components, and mechanical systems.
• Create and update 3D models, drawings, specifications, and other engineering documentation.
• Assist with engineering calculations, research, and technical analysis.
• Support prototype builds, product testing, and validation activities.
• Collect, organize, and document test results and engineering data.
• Assist with troubleshooting product, design, and manufacturing challenges.
• Support updates to product drawings, BOMs, and other technical documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and other departments on product and process improvement.
