Sizer School in Fitchburg, Massachusetts seeks a Technology & Engineering Teacher to educate grades 7–12 with hands-on courses in engineering design, CAD, fabrication, and digital tools, guiding students from idea to prototype.

The ideal candidate will align with Massachusetts STE/DLCS standards, develop project‑based learning, and maintain a safe, organized lab while collaborating with science, math, and art teachers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MA DESE License with SEI Endorsement preferred and must be obtained within the first year.
• Experience teaching middle school and/or high school students.
• Knowledge of engineering design, technology education, or related field.
• Ability to develop engaging, hands-on, project-based learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and teach technology and engineering courses for grades 7–12.
• Develop curriculum aligned with MA STE/DLCS standards.
• Lead students through engineering design process from problem to finished product.
• Create hands-on design challenges using CAD and fabrication tools.
• Ensure safe use of tools, equipment, and materials with students.
• Collaborate with science, math, art, and humanities teachers on interdisciplinary projects.
• Assess student work through projects, portfolios, and demonstrations.
