Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking an Embedded Cybersecurity Engineer II to safeguard the security of embedded systems across products. You will work closely with R&D and Operations to meet security standards and contract requirements.

Responsibilities include guiding security controls with product teams, coordinating with hardware and SW developers, and conducting vulnerability assessments and incident response. A DoD security clearance or eligibility is required, with potential ITAR considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Two years of experience in Cybersecurity and embedded hardware.
• CompTIA Security+, GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) or equivalent verifiable credentialed certification.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product R&D teams to implement security controls for product/system wide security needs.
• Coordinate with Electrical and Hardware engineering to address security requirements in hardware design.
• Support embedded system architects and developers to ensure security controls are implemented as intended.
• Identify security vulnerabilities and weaknesses in system design and architecture.
• Conduct embedded product and device cybersecurity activities including incident response and remediation.
