Job summary

Smart Structures is seeking an experienced Electronics Bench Technician in Riviera Beach, FL to work with electronic systems, devices, and components. You will diagnose problems, repair equipment, and build sensor/control systems while performing field installations and reporting on-site activities.

Responsibilities include following procedures, soldering, wiring, inspecting assemblies, and using test equipment to ensure proper operation. A strong focus on quality and problem-solving is required.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Soldering and component removal/replacement experience.
• Basic electronics knowledge.
• Applicant must have basic computer skills, Word and Excel.
• Applicant must be punctual and detail oriented.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Follow the manufacturing procedures with precise detail.
• Trouble shoot defective assemblies and develop the process to eliminate defects.
• Solder sensors and wires to produce quality assemblies.
• Inspect parts and assemblies for defects.
• Install and debug sensor packs and cables in the field.
• Manage the receiving of deliveries and stocking.
• Manage the packaging of deliveries and shipping.
• Identify electrical problems using a variety of test equipment.
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
• Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
• Inspect electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
• Replace conduit and wiring as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
