Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Electronic Manufacturing Engineer to lead hands-on improvements in PCBA and electromechanical production. You’ll work across engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, and NPD to drive efficiency, cost reduction, and reliability on the production floor.

The role emphasizes a hands-on, production-floor presence with ownership of projects from concept through implementation. A background in PCBA, SMT, and box-build is highly desirable for success in this fast-growing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Approximately 3–7 years of relevant engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting electronic manufacturing, PCBA production, electromechanical assembly, or related operations.
• Working knowledge of SMT and through-hole PCB assembly processes.
• Ability to interpret and create electronic schematics, assembly drawings, and fabrication documentation.
• Familiarity with printed circuit board manufacturing concepts, including Gerber files and CAM software.
• Basic CAD experience, such as SolidWorks or similar software.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and organize work based on changing business needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve electronic and electromechanical manufacturing processes, including SMT, through-hole assembly, reflow, hardware installation, cleaning, conformal coating, cable assembly, and box-build operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing, process, and production issues.
• Develop, qualify, document, and implement new manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
• Partner with internal and external NPD teams to support reliable, cost-effective products designed for manufacturability and testability.
• Support product costing activities and assist with manufacturing and quoting packages.
• Collaborate with supply chain and engineering to evaluate alternate components and manage components/commodities.
