Job summary

Atlantic Design, Inc. seeks a Panel Shop / Electrical Manager to lead the panel shop operations for our industrial equipment line. The role is hands-on, guiding assembly, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting while mentoring the shop crew.

You will ensure schematics, BOMs, and panel layouts align with best electrical practices and regulatory standards (UL 508A, NEC). The position offers a strong growth path and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Journeyman/ Master Electrician licenses may be relevant depending on jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in daily panel shop operations (assembly, wiring, testing, quality assurance).
• Mentor Panel Shop personnel and manage production needs.
• Coordinate with Electrical Designer to ensure manufacturability and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with UL 508A, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and NEC codes.
• Oversee quality control and testing to meet customer specs and regs.
• Plan labor and schedules to meet production deadlines and budgets.
• Support pre-installation QA testing and troubleshooting.
• Maintain safe, efficient work environment and safety culture.
• Manage departmental expenses and maintenance procedures.
• Ensure safe and high-quality electrical work.
