Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort working in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on, shop-floor-oriented engineer.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, specs and measuring instruments.
  • Flexibility to work occasional extended hours, weekends, or travel as needed.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to manufacturing teams to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost control.
  • Monitor and analyze production processes using data-driven tools such as SPC.
  • Identify issues, evaluate root causes, and develop practical solutions to improve manufacturing performance.
  • Design new systems, equipment, tooling, and process improvements; support retrofits and upgrades.
  • Analyze process and material test data and document improvements using structured problem-solving methods.
  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Technical Services, and Product Development teams.
  • Assist with employee training on procedures, equipment, quality systems, and safety practices.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and support quality management system compliance.
  • Serve in a supervisory or leadership capacity when needed and mentor others through training and technical guidance.
  • Lead or participate in Operational Excellence, Safety, and Quality initiatives.
  • Support MES projects and other manufacturing technologies as assigned.
  • Interpret maintenance data (CMMS) to recommend preventative measures and reduce downtime.
  • Evaluate, specify, and help implement new equipment, tools, and automated systems.
  • Work directly with vendors and suppliers to explore innovations and control costs.
