Job summary

Airbus U.S. Space & Defense seeks an Electrical Engineer II to support EGSE design, validation, and integration for spacecraft test systems.

You will work across hardware and software interfaces, develop procedures, and troubleshoot complex issues with cross‑functional teams. The role emphasizes hands‑on engineering throughout the EGSE lifecycle, including configuration control, documentation, and collaboration with manufacturing, quality, IT, and procurement to ensure reliable test capabilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, aerospace or related technical discipline.
• 3–6 years of electrical engineering experience focusing on test systems or EGSE preferred.
• Experience with hardware/software integration and validation in space/aerospace environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system‑level issues.
• Familiarity with spacecraft electrical systems and test environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, and deployment of EGSE systems including hardware interfaces, power, data buses, and communication links.
• Ensure EGSE meets program requirements and quality standards; assist in test procedures, configurations, and validation protocols.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues during integration and test campaigns; provide real‑time support and root cause analysis.
• Perform integration and functional verification of EGSE hardware and software components; verify spacecraft interface replication.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, QA, IT, and Procurement to meet operational needs and support reviews and change control.
