Job summary

SOWELA is seeking an Instructor in Drafting and Design Technology to deliver hands-on coursework, labs, and online modules in the College’s Main Campus. The role emphasizes student success, professional growth, and program outcome achievement.

Responsibilities include preparing lectures, maintaining records, and participating in college events while upholding SOWELA policies and program standards in a 9-month faculty assignment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an associate degree in drafting.
• Must meet SACSCOC and ATMAE credential guidelines.
• Autodesk AutoCAD proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face, hands-on, or hybrid instruction to drafting students on the main campus.
• Deliver lectures, demonstrate and teach subject matter in classroom, labs, and online settings.
• Develop student skills through structured practice and projects.
• Maintain accurate grades and attendance records and submit reports timely.
• Support enrollment and retention by participating in college events and activities.
• Organize classroom instruction and management and hold weekly office hours.
