Job summary

The Duke Energy EPS Summer Digital Forensics Investigator Internship is a professional development opportunity for currently enrolled college students. You will gain hands-on experience through a variety of business and technical assignments while learning about the company’s operations and security programs.

Interns will network with peers and mentors, apply digital forensics methods, and contribute to investigations, research, and evidence analysis in a real-world utility environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in cybersecurity or criminal justice programs with a focus on digital forensics.
• Minimum GPA 2.75 and cannot graduate before August 2027.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply digital forensics tools, software, and methods.
• Develop understanding of investigative processes and techniques.
• Assist with digital forensics investigations.
• Apply investigative techniques and digital forensic methodologies to questions.
• Conduct research and perform investigative analysis.
• Support collection, analysis, and interpretation of digital evidence.
