Job summary

Massed Compute seeks hands-on Data Center Technicians for contract roles to ensure data center sites run 24/7. You will install and maintain hardware, troubleshoot promptly, and provide excellent client service. Ideal candidates enjoy hands-on work, pay close attention to detail, and take pride in technical tasks.

Position is on-site, independent contractor‑style work, with taxes and equipment managed by the contractor. Strong networking knowledge and GPU system familiarity are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience with data center hardware and hands-on support.
• Strong networking fundamentals including LAN and Ethernet.
• Comfort troubleshooting equipment to minimize downtime.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on-site.
• Excellent communication with clients and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Rack and stack data center equipment (servers, networking gear, monitoring systems).
• Run cabling, including Cat6a installations.
• Repair and troubleshoot hardware to minimize downtime.
• Provide prompt client service and address questions and issues.
• Read and follow schematics for network installations and upkeep.
• Maintain clear records and equipment logs.
• Diagnose hardware problems related to networking and failed components.
• Provide on-call and on-site emergency support as needed.
• Participate in training to stay updated on technology.
