Job summary

Covestic Inc is seeking a Data Center Technical Lead in Montgomery, AL to lead hands-on server and network troubleshooting, while managing an on-site team and client communications. The role requires strong leadership, advanced hardware knowledge, and a focus on operational excellence in a fast-paced data center environment.

You will oversee project delivery, safety compliance, and cross-functional collaboration with vendors, while ensuring timely issue resolution and quality service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a technical environment.
• Real ID or other federally accepted identification for U.S. travel.
• Complete all deliverables assigned by leadership within established timelines.
• Foster and oversee new projects and procedural improvements that support growth and efficiency.
• Conduct regular meetings with the local client to address changes and questions.
• Provide on-call support during weekend shifts to ensure continuity of operations.
• Create and maintain cross-functional relationships with the client and vendors.
• Strong hands-on experience with computer hardware diagnostics and repair.
• Experience managing resource budgets, forecasts, and monitoring KPIs.
• Ability to travel to other data center locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on work with data center technicians for installs, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Oversee on-site team management, scheduling, and operational oversight.
• Promote safety, enforce PPE use, and ensure adherence to protocols and SLAs.
• Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies across data centers.
• Coordinate with clients and vendors to ensure clear communication and strong relationships.
• Provide technical direction and ensure staff are trained on deployment and recovery procedures.
• Manage ticket workflows and inventory to minimize downtime and maximize accuracy.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching to maintain high team morale.
