Perplexity AI is seeking an Applied AI Architect to work hands-on with customers across presales, onboarding, adoption, and strategic engagements. You will uncover real business problems, design and configure workflows, and lead engagements to clear outcomes, collaborating with Sales and Customer Success as a quality filter for product and engineering needs.

Qualifications

5+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as solutions architecture, senior sales engineering, AI implementation, forward deployed work, technical consulting, or technical program leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead technical discovery with customer stakeholders, account executives, and success managers to understand users, workflows, constraints, and decision-makers.
Design credible solutions by mapping people, data, tools, approvals, permissions, and decisions interacting within the workflow.
Partner with sales for technical deal strategy, demos, proofs of value, architecture and security coordination, and engagement scoping.
Configure, prototype, test, and iterate on Computer skills and workflows, including connectors, permissions, and adjacent tooling.
Provide second-level technical consultation to customer success and deliver bounded technical work when needed.
Establish scope, milestones, success criteria, cadence, and exit criteria to drive engagements to closure.
Turn repeated customer needs into reusable workflows, demos, guidance, and product feedback.
