Job summary

Perplexity, a leading AI research and knowledge platform, seeks a Product Manager to advance AI capabilities and drive measurable impact. You will partner with design, engineering, data science, and research to deliver experiences that feel powerful, understandable, extensible, and dependable.

You will identify high-leverage opportunities, translate them into clear product direction, and collaborate across Skills, collaboration, artifact generation, and Projects to build repeatable workflows

Qualifications

• Strong experience with product management and leadership.
• Strong experience working with data and metrics.
• Experience building AI-native productivity, collaboration, platform, or developer-facing products.
• Experience with agentic systems, tool use, evaluations, extensibility, or workflow orchestration.
• Experience with rapid prototyping and designing systems that produce high-quality artifacts.
• Experience building data-driven flywheels for iterative improvement.
• Thrives in a small, agile team: has initiative and desire for ownership.
• 4+ years of product management experience.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate opportunities for innovation and value in reusable, composable AI capabilities.
• Envision and deliver a long-term vision for Skills, collaboration, artifact generation, and Projects.
• Understand the levers for capability discovery, adoption, reuse, sharing, and ecosystem growth.
• Work closely with engineering and design to align product expectations with model, tool, and platform capabilities.
• Work with research to evaluate and steer nondeterministic models, tools, and agents into high-value outcomes for users.
• Have conviction to make difficult product decisions in the face of uncertainty.
• Develop a deep understanding of how individuals and teams create, customize, collaborate, and build repeatable workflows with AI.
• Make complex AI behavior understandable and controllable through clear interaction models, thoughtful defaults, permissions, and well-designed feedback.
• Drive alignment when capabilities span Computer, Search, Projects, artifacts, connectors, or multiple teams.
• Communicate product decisions, tradeoffs, progress, and learnings clearly to leadership and cross-functional partners.
