Job summary

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of direct supervisory or leadership experience in custodial, facilities, or operational settings.
• Valid driver’s license if travel between sites is required.
• Knowledge of custodial equipment operation, cleaning procedures, and chemical safety protocols.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to manage schedules, tasks, and priorities.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and direct a team with fairness and consistency.
• Proficient in using standard computer software for supervisory tasks such as email communication and timekeeping approvals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day custodial operations, including task assignments, shift coverage, and timekeeping.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure cleanliness and safety standards.
• Train, coach, and develop staff with hands-on demonstrations and on-the-spot feedback.
• Assist with formal performance evaluations and resolve day-to-day staff issues professionally.
• Enforce a strong safety culture and OSHA guidelines in all activities.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and coordinate replenishment or repairs.
• Address and resolve customer complaints or supply shortages quickly.
• Perform custodial duties alongside the team, including floor care or carpet extraction.
• Support KPI tracking and data-informed decision making for continuous improvement efforts.
• Serve as escalation point for complex client concerns and contractual obligations.
• Participate in cross-functional projects to align custodial operations with organizational goals.
• Oversee emergency response protocols and contingency plans related to custodial services.
