Job summary

Peckham is seeking a Custodial Services Trainee at our Lansing, MI location. The role involves general cleaning duties such as restrooms, offices, classrooms, and conference rooms with supervision available.

Training is provided during New Hire Orientation, and work hours are 7-11am, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate is reliable, communicative, and able to follow safety procedures; English proficiency at a basic level is acceptable with translator support during onboarding.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Low Beginning English; translation support during orientation.
• Spoken English is not required but a translator may assist during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Stock custodial supplies and carts.
• Clean restrooms, offices, classrooms, and conference rooms.
• Periodic cleaning of vents.
• Maintain grounds, including snow removal.
• Routine vacuuming and mopping of floors.
• Provide friendly, courteous customer service.
