Job summary

Merced County is seeking a Building Maintenance professional to plan, assign, and supervise workload for a crew at the Adult Correctional Facility. The role includes performing diverse trades, from carpentry to electrical and plumbing, and ensuring work aligns with standards.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience equivalent to Building Maintenance Worker III in Merced County.
• Possess a valid California driver’s license at time of appointment and maintain it.

Responsibilities

• Train, evaluate, and supervise an inmate work crew.
• Perform routine and emergency maintenance and repairs.
• Operate and maintain office and maintenance equipment including a PC.
• Communicate effectively in person and by telephone.
• Analyze data, interpret procedures, and respond appropriately to situations.
