Job summary

Entegris in Burnet, TX is seeking a Spring 2027 Controls Engineering Co‑Op for 6 months. You will work with established controls engineers to develop and update equipment programming, troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, and support operations.

This full‑time co‑op runs January through June and requires 40 hours per week while currently enrolled in an engineering program. You’ll gain hands‑on experience with manufacturing equipment, controls systems, and automation technologies; familiarity

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Exposure to programming or scripting languages such as C++, Python, HTML, Java, PLC programming, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a desire to learn and troubleshoot technical systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing manufacturing equipment and automation systems.
• Support the modification, testing, and optimization of machine control programs to improve performance and reliability.
• Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to support daily production operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in the development and implementation of equipment upgrades, process improvements, and automation solutions.
• Analyze equipment performance and identify opportunities to increase efficiency, reliability, and productivity.
• Create, update, and maintain machine, process, and system documentation to support operational excellence.
• Participate in troubleshooting activities, root cause investigations, and corrective action implementation.
• Gain hands‑on experience with manufacturing equipment, controls systems, and industrial automation technologies.
