Job summary

NPAworldwide in Cincinnati seeks an experienced controls engineer with Beckhoff and Siemens background to work hands-on on manufacturing equipment. Strong AB experience is a plus for learning Beckhoff/Siemens.

Responsibilities include PLC/HMI/VFD programming, maintenance scheduling, and collaboration across Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams. 1st shift with minimal travel and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Five or more years of controls programming experience preferred.
• Hands-on industrial controls troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with PLC, HMI, and VFD programming.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing environments (IATF 16949/ISO 14001) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, quality, and manufacturing standards in accordance with internal and external expectations.
• Troubleshoot control-system problems and implement short- and long-term corrective actions.
• Integrate control systems to measure and improve equipment and manufacturing performance.
• Create, modify, and maintain PLC, computer, HMI, and VFD programs.
• Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for control systems.
• Maintain electrical and controls drawings and schematics.
• Use a collaborative, synchronous approach to project implementation.
• Participate in formal problem-solving activities, customer-complaint investigations, and continuous-improvement projects.
• Provide controls support and troubleshooting training to Maintenance personnel.
• Support Production, Maintenance, Tool Room, Quality, Engineering, Program Management, Launch, and Sales as needed.
