This role is hands‑on today with potential to build and lead a broader accounting function over time, requiring strong GAAP knowledge and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with heavy close ownership
• Experience as Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and full-cycle accounting
• Experience with accruals, prepaids, payroll and benefits
• Inventory and cost of goods accounting experience preferred
• Advanced Excel and large data set handling
• Ability to communicate financial insights to executives
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Maintain complete documentation for audit trails and supporting schedules
• Maintain general ledger integrity for income statement and balance sheet
• Direct accounts payable, vendor setup, approvals, and weekly payments
• Manage cash activity and working capital visibility
• Partner with leaders to identify accruals, commitments, and end-of-period needs
• Own accounting for inventory and cost of goods sold
• Support reporting, variance analysis, and financial forecasting
• Maintain and improve accounting policies, controls, and procedures
• Identify opportunities to automate and scale accounting processes
• Support audit, tax, and compliance requirements as needed
