Job summary

On Location is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting for a growing events and labor-management company. You will combine day-to-day accounting with strategic insight, strong internal controls, and cross-functional collaboration.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance with CPA/CMA preferred, 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, and proven job costing within project-based environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Hands-on accounting leader willing to roll up sleeves and work in the details.
• Strong job costing experience in project-based, construction, labor, or event services.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting and financial reporting activities.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and cash management functions.
• Maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Manage audit, banking, tax, and compliance activities.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the accounting team.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, job profitability, and strategic financial analysis.
• Drive process improvements and system optimization initiatives.
