Job summary

Piedmont Door Solutions, a leader in pedestrian door and entrance solutions, seeks a hands-on Controller to build and lead accounting operations across multiple branches. This role combines strategic process design with direct hands-on execution, ensuring close accuracy and scalable infrastructure in a PE-backed growth environment.

The ideal candidate has deep GAAP knowledge, multi-entity experience, and expertise in NetSuite.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7 to 15 years of progressive accounting experience, with multi-location or PE-backed environments.
• Strong NetSuite expertise.
• Manufacturing/industrial services background preferred.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day accounting across a multi-branch operation and drive a reliable month-end close.
• Assess current accounting practices, identify gaps, and implement structured improvements.
• Provide direction and oversight to accounting personnel, and coach the team.
• Perform hands-on accounting work as needed in a fast-paced, growth environment.
• Design scalable accounting processes across branches and move toward shared services infrastructure.
• Drive automation to reduce back-office costs and reallocate resources to higher-value work.
• Develop reporting and FP&A-like outputs for leadership visibility across branches.
• Oversee NetSuite controls and data integrity; support future technology transitions.
• Assist with accounting integration during acquisitions and growth.
