Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. in Grand Rapids seeks a Working Superintendent and Lead Foreman to lead the self-perform division in the field. You will supervise a crew, perform skilled carpentry, and ensure safe, efficient, high-quality project execution.

This ground-floor opportunity lets you shape culture, standards, and future leadership as the division grows. You’ll work in a hands-on role, directing field operations, mentoring apprentices, and coordinating with project teams to deliver on schedule

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level carpentry experience and 10+ years in commercial construction.
• 3+ years leading crews as Foreman or Lead Carpenter.
• OSHA 30 certification required or can obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsabilités

• Lead a 3–6 person crew performing rough/finish carpentry, doors, frames, hardware, and Division 10 work.
• Plan and coordinate daily/weekly activities to keep projects on schedule.
• Order materials, manage tools, and coordinate with project teams.
• Monitor crew productivity and ensure quality to minimize punch lists at turnover.
• Train and mentor apprentices and develop future foremen.
